For sale 1987 38 ft. Freedom 36/38 in eastern-Caribbean - Boat in currently in Virgin Islands. Sailing has been great. We particularly enjoyed the 55 trip between St. Pierre, Martinique and Portsmouth, Dominica with 17-25 knot winds, gusts to 30 knots and 6 to 8 foot seas. With the wind and seas on the beam, we made the passage in just 8 hours with 2 reefs in the main. Usually behind the islands the winds are lighter and more variable in direction. On this trip the winds stayed up between 20 and 25 knots and with flat seas, we maintained 7 to 8 knots most of the way.
