FS: Freedom 21 Chesapeake area

Post by rbhb2 »

I have regretfully decided that the time has come for me to sell my Freedom 21. Since you guys know the boat, here are the particulars which set this boat apart:

1) Factory tabernacle mast (nice for storage, trailering, fitting under low bridges, easy to raise and lower).
2) Shoal draft (draws 2 feet; great for gunkholing and if you ever run aground just jump over and push your boat free).
3) Full length heavy duty mahogany rub strake protecting hull-to-deck joint.
4) 15Amp shore power (one GFI outlet, great for charging battery).
5) All hardware and portlights removed and rebedded spring 2005.
6) 6 coats of Interprotect barrier coat, spring 2005 (no blisters, I am just cautious and protective).
7) Fresh antifouling, August 2010, 2 coats Pettiit Ultima SR.
8) Gunmount relined.
9) New Windex.
10) 2 Mainsails, 1 jib, mainsail cover.

Really an exceptionally fun boat that is easy to singlehand. Great for an older sailor wishing to downsize or a family with young children. $5,000 with a Johnson 6hp 2 stroke, motor is overpowered and optional; it really only needs no more than a 5hp. It is located at a private dock. No trailer, but I can help you arrange delivery, or help you sail it home within reason.
Email me at RBHB2 (at) yahoo (dot) com . Thanks.
