Freedom 32 Parts Sale

Post by rbrown739 »

Unfortunately Tropical Storm Philippe had its way with my Freedom 32 Sunday night (and 9 other sailboats in Padanaram (South Dartmouth) Mass) and it's on its way to disposal. I'll be making a list of things I took off of her in the last 30 hours before she was taken away today and will make that available for any Freedom 32 or other owners that might be interested in the next couple of days. Not sure what further access I will have to her before she gets crushed but if there is anything you are looking for in particular let me know and I will see what I can do to get if if I don't have it already. I hate to see the mast get crushed so in case you need it or know of a good place to store one let me know and I'll talk to the salvor.

Hi rbrown,

I am sorry to hear about your misfortune, I hope you are able to get back on the water quickly!

I'll look forward to your list, but here are a few needs that are worth asking about.

Offhand I know I need the inside cover/door/window (??) for the stern cabins' hull port light/vent . Someone broke the hinges off mine.

I might also need the ice box lid if yours is in good shape.

If you'r head sink faucet and shower is in good shape I would probably take that also. I'm sure more will pop into my head.

Oh, is the holding tank solid? I know that is a pain to remove, but mine has a crack in it as it was stored before I bought her with waste still inside. I'm guessing it froze and therefore cracked, but not enough to leak, just allowing odor to seep out, yuck! I figured it worth asking about.

How about the salon table? Is there a cockpit table also?

Were the jamb cleats on the cabin top updated?

I could use the two deck organizers also.

Does the boat have a dodger?

Gun mount, pole, sleeve and spinnaker?

Let me know what you think and what you have, having just bought mine this past spring I have my list of things needed.

Thanks.
John

RBrown:

I am so sorry to hear about your boat! That is so sad, but maybe an opportunity for me. I am in need of a mast. I have purchased an Offshore 33 Cat Ketch that was also damaged in a storm and lost its main mast. The mast on the Freedom 32 has pretty much the same dimensions and would be a perfect replacement. Please contact me if youre interested in selling the mast and parts. :D

Thanks

Condolences on your boat. I have a very close friend who was up at your marina a day or so after the storm checking on a boat he just transported down to the Chesapeake, and he told me that he saw your boat just after it had been lifted onto a barge(?) Sad day. I take it the interior was flooded?
I'm in nearby Rhode Island, but I was fortunate enough not to sustain any damage to my F. 32. I am looking for a few things. Would you have a dodger? How about autopilot or wind instruments? VHF or audio head? Sails? Spinnaker sock? Water heater or shore power battery charger? As I mentioned, I'm by and could go to the boat ... maybe this weekend?
Thanks,

So sorry about your boat. Probably too late but do you by any chance have the ring on the deck that the mast goes thru?
Thanks

Wow...sorry about the boat.

Have you posted anything about available parts?

I am about to re-do my companion way hatch cover, few other things.

Thanks

I need a spinnaker sock. If you have one please respond or PM me.

If anyone could suggest a shop that would have the specs to make a sock for an F-32 spinnaker, could you post that?

Thanks

I know this is a bit after the fact but would you have the adjustable pedestal for the dinette table?

I finally remembered to check my spinnaker and sleeve. The maker is Ulmer Kolus and the spinnaker came from Harstick sails. If you want to send me your email I can forward a couple of pics to you. I may be in the market for a new sleeve myself, there is some damage that looks like mice were in it.
