boat transport

Post by Lake North »

Seriously thinking of buying a 25. It,s on a cradle. Need to move it from Sturgeon Bay, WI to Superior,WI. Getting either no shipper interest or $2000 bids. That is prohibitive to me.

Thought about a trailer. I am asking for suggestions.

Thanks for the thought. I filled out their forms several days ago and got a confirm and nothing else.
There is another firm that does a similar service they declined to bid no trucks in area. Lookin into a flat bed and straps. Triad would make one for 4-5 grand, more than i want invested. Any other thoughts would be appreciated from the group.

Just realize that all that uShip does is place the shipments out for bid. It takes a while for truckers/firms to bid on the job. It took me weeks to get a bid from Milwaukee to San Diego. Be patient. Unfortunately you're not in a high traffic area.

for anybody in the New England area I would be willing to offer for a fee transport for a F25 as I have a trailer and truck.

Consider checking about a car carrier-type trailer. U-Haul typically rents these and the trucks to pull them. Since you have a cradle, this can be placed on and tied down to this kind of trailer.
