Grib files...get your grib files here!

I've implemented an interface to SailDoc's grib server on my Interactive Weather Map at http://www.geoffschultz.org/weather_map.php You can now point and click and have grib files e-mailed to you.

If you need a grib viewer, I suggest installing ViewFax, which is available here: http://www.siriuscyber.net/wxfax/#viewfax
Note that this interface does NOT work on iPads due to some bug in Safari (even though it works fine on Safari on Windows).

Please let me know if there are any problems and/or provide any feedback on the interface.

I've been busy adding more features to my Interactive Marine Weather web page.

I recently implemented the GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress & Safety System) charts into my weather map system at http://www.geoffschultz.org/weather_map.php You can find these charts in the Weather Charts menu under GMDSS. These provide text forecasts and warnings and NavTex forecasts throughout the world from various meteorological organizations. Simply click within a chart area to see the available information.

I also just added a series of charts from Weather Underground to my marine weather page. These charts provide wave height, animated wave height and water temperature for 23 regions around the world. The attached photo shows the chart areas.

If you click outside of the "normal" chart areas (i.e. clicking on Greenland) you get the entire globe & if you've selected Wave Height Animated, you can see the an animation of wave heights world wide. That's pretty cool!

You can find these charts by selecting Weather Charts and then scrolling down to Weather Underground. Enjoy!

And here's the world wide wave height animation. I'm sure glad that I'm not sailing way down south!

I've finished adding weather buoy data to my Interactive Marine Weather Page at http://www.geoffschultz.org/weather_map.php This provides wind/wave/temperature data from ~600 buoys around the world. The attached photo shows clusters of buoys (instead of displaying 600 separate buoys). Just click on the cluster to zoom in and expand it. Note that this information is available in the Weather Charts/Wunderground/Buoy Data section.
