4 108 injector pump removal/Side window thickness

I have 4 108 that wants it injector pump removed and while I am at I plan to do the injectors
does any body have any history in doing this
I have read the manual and checked the net and getting mixed instructions
My F39 has tired Side ports (windows) they need replacing the old owner replaced them with ,I am thinking 3/16 lexan I plan to use plexiglass Can any one give me the correct thickness
