F21 Spinnaker run

I went sailing today. I was racing when my jib got wrapped around my Spinnaker
halyard. I had to drop out to fix the equipment malfunction. Once I got that
taken care of, I went sailing for fun. Shot this video with the last bit of
battery left on my Samsung waterproof video camera.

Was reviewing the videos you have posted and enjoyed them.
You mentioned you added an additional haul line, didn't quite see it.
I'm intrigued by the rolling furler setup you have as I too run a F21.
The main sail sure is hanging in there. Mine is also the original which I've pushed rather hard from time to time.
Last weekend the winds were 28 and gusting. Full main for a good 18 miles round trip. Loads of fun!

In retrospect, I should have mounted the new block about 6" higher.
I'm not overly happy with the rig as it does give me fits when the wind builds and I don't furl the jib early enough. No big deal when there is a second person on board but it can be a real bit** when single handing and the furller reaches out and wraps up the spinnaker halyard inside the jib.

I tend to sail by my self often after taking others out for a day. If it was a big event and I had loads of kids on board, then I'm trying to enjoy the sail - bet get back to the slip so I can get home.
I had a though about just pulling a double block or a fiddle with the haul, then just rigging two haul lines off it.
Most of my rigging requires me to be able to do it sitting down unfortunately.

Rick,
The whole idea of my mounting a second halyard was so I would not have to leave the cockpit. With a roller furler on the the staysail halyard, I hoped to avoid running forward to change the head sails. It generally works well (except when it doesn't
). Still I have gained a bit of a "Capt. Jack Sparrow" reputation around the club since I am often seen to lash my tiller and run forward to do something on the fore deck. Even when everything is working perfectly, I'll run forward to put Velcro ties around the furled staysail, if the wind is coming up, just to ensure it does not accidentally come open.
