New Freedon 25 owner checking in

Post by GreenG20t »

Howdy everyone I'm the new guy here. I recently re acquired a very special Freedom 25. Long story short she is mine again after sitting neglected for 15 years (half of her life). You can imagine 15 years alone in a boat yard takes its toll. The widows were busted out, cabin full of water, deck hardware stolen, but she will live again. I will update this thread with my progress.

Welcome and good luck with your restoration. I spend three years restoring Raven a F28CK that spent 3 years on the hard prior to my purchasing her. I found a wealth of information on this board. Enjoying sailing the last 2 years.

The boat and I live on Whidbey Island in Washington state.

She is ready for a swim. Hope she floats after 15 years on land.

Looks like she floats nicely! Seems level by the water lines.
