Post by IandI »

i have to put my 39 Express up for the winter and need to buy some jack stands to put the boat on.
Can anyone tell me what sizes i need. I can send a pic of the boat on stands when i bought it. i sent it to the yard but they have not answered yet and the drive is 1000km.
Thanks

I bought some Brownell Boat Stands three years ago and have been very satisfied. I use eight SB1 Flat Top stands (64" to 79"), and one SB1V Vee Top stand (64" to 79") to support the bow. The keel rests on on two stacks of 8X8 wood blocks (total 16" high).

On the pictures below, You'll see that I have glued styrofoam on the pads. The idea was to better distribute pressure on the hull. However, I will remove it this year on the recommendation from Brownell who says it can sometime be slippery. This will also help improve the angle of the pads on the forward stands.
