Re: F35 (P) - is the usual phrf for this boat 144? What are people using? And is running a fractional asymmetrical spinnaker effective?
Thanks

Re: F35 asymmetrical
My PHRF New England certificate is 150 racing/spinnaker and 162 cruising/non-spinnaker. That said, their web site says a Freedom 35 wk rates 144.
I've got an asymmetrical but I've only used it cruising

Re: F35 asymmetrical
Ah perfect! Is your spinnaker fractional or masthead and whichever does it draw well enough with the big main? (From the pic it looks fractional) - I'm interested in a top down furler , fractional, but don't know what size asym to use - I'll stick with ONE. Where do you attach the tack of your asymmetrical?
Im not getting any response on the asymmetrical advantage questions - so you all out there with Pedrick 35's - do you fly a spinnaker or asymmetrical with your main up and do you get downwind push that is worthwhile for the outlay of moolaw needed for the rig set up? Help here please. Thanks.
