Y-valve on Pedrick Freedom 35

Post by xluke1 »

Hello,
Since I have always operated my '94 Freedom 35 in coastal waters I have never used the Y-valve to exhaust waste to the sea. How does this system work? Is there a need to install a macerator? Does this only affect head black water or does it route grey water as well?

Thanks!

The Y-valve diverts the waste to a thru-hull or to the tank directly from the head. There's no need for a macerator unless you want to pump the tank overboard.
