I've used Copper Shield SCX 45 for the last couple of years and have been happy about how it controls barnacle growth. However this year I noted a substantial buildup of grassy stuff. Could be that I was in the Narragansett for the first time and/or I didn't do as much sailing, but by the end of the season it was like swimming with one's long underwear on. Tough to get any speed up.
What have you used and liked (I know, I will check Practical Sailor, but I trust your local experiences even more).
Thanks
Ma and RI, what bottom paint have you been happy with?

I have been using Micron Extra for several years on Buzzards Bay. Works well but is expensive. No barnacles, little slim, no grass.
Next year I am consider Blue Water from ipaint, which received a very good review in practical sailor:

Ditto on the Micron Extra. This is the first year that I've kept the boat up here, and it came out nice and clean. I won't need another coat next year.

Micron Extra is the best, hands down. My experience is in Long Island Sound.
