Teak Decks

Post by treilley »

Did any of the 40/40s or 45s have teak decks installed by the factory?

None that I've seen. The concept is Freedom from all of that work. You couldn't pay me to have lots of teak.

Thanks Geoff. I agree about the teak work(another plus of the 40/40). The decks can be left to weather to a silver and then you just need to clean them periodically. I have seen photos of a 45cc that has teak decks and I am very concerned about water intrusion in the deck core especially if it was not done at TPI.

I met with Mark Edwards this weekend and he said that Freedom did custom install teak decks on some boats.
