Refrigerator Removal / Replacement

Post by OldRover »

I need to pull the refrigerator/freezer out of my F39 pilothouse. The main reason is to gain access to the forward bulkhead and floor below. This is the model with the galley in the forward portion of the cabin (fridge is adjacent to the bulk shared with v-berth). It appears to be ‘glued’ in place with foam insulation. Anyone know of any fasteners? Also, has anyone replaced one of these models? It seems to be a semi-custom model that follows the compound curve of the hull. If I can reuse this one I’d prefer since replacing with a standard off-the-shelf model will cause a loss of some cold storage. Although the wife thinks that an updated squared off unit would be best especially with a better freezer unit.
Thanks
