Freedom 21 boarding ladder

I need to install a perminient boarding ladder on my Freedom 21 off the stern. Has anyone done this? Where did you get the ladder?

I put one on about 4 years ago. I got it from Boaters World when they were having their going out of business sale. I’ll snap some pics this weekend.

I have seen these on line. Have you used it to board from deep water? I am concerned with my 250lb frame that it will either bend or not provide the support to get me over the stern. do you go under or over the stern rail?

I'm 6'2" 250# and I've used it a couple of times on the lake in water 20' to 40' deep. and have had no trouble with the ladder flexing or bending. I've even used it to climb onto my boat when she was sitting on her trailer.

Like the ladder on your boat as it telescopes out. Mine is fixed and seems to attract spider webs a lot.

However, as for boarding the boat when in the water I've found that when I pull myself up from alongside it works best, for me anyway.

Alas the cushions came with the boat. Weather OEM or made by the original owner, I don't know.
