is this the same boat ? 33 and 35 f

Post by cptprogreso »

Do the 33 and 35 share the same hull so they are the same boat.

If so the 33 is a 33 or a 35 foot sailboat?

Why the difference in the name ?

Assuming you are talking about the Cat Ketch, they are basically the same hull. In Europe she is called a 35 while in the U.S. she is known as a 33. The cockpit and interior of the UK built 35 is vastly different from the US boat. Have you looked at the listings on Yachtworld.com?

Yes, the hulls are the same as far as I know but the deck , especially the cockpit is different resulting in a different interior plan. The F35 has an aft cabin arrangement I believe.

The difference in name, '33' and '35', was just a marketing ploy to make it sound bigger. Without the small bowsprit, it is only 33' long, from transom to stem, or 10m. My registration document calls it 10.6m(35'), which results in higher marina charges!
