Just came across this video of a Freedom 32 saved from sinking while at mooring.
Hope they make a full recovery.

I am still waiting for their follow-up
Up video to say what happened. I don't understand why no one towed them to nearest hard stand....

What I have gathered is that a thru-hull failed leaving the boat a total loss.

I heard that this boat sold recently as a salvage boat for about 7500 in Massachusetts. I have been looking for a freedom, this one came up in on of my searches, called, and found out that an offer had been accecpted. I asked how much it sold for and a woman that answered the phone told me that she thought it sold for that amount. I know little about the details of condition of boat at time of sale. Best.

I following their predicament, it was stated by the owners, as gulfcoastsailor stated, that a hose failed right at a thru-hull during the short period that they were away from the boat. It appeared to be under water, not fully, for less than a day, but that could be video editing also.

According to the salvage yard, the owners had disconnected the galley sink drain during renos. As the seas increased water was able to flow in through that drain. The boat "sank" 'till the keel hit bottom. It appears that they now have a new boat.

A galley drain with no seacock? That's a bit unusual.
