Hi Rick,

Well that 1/8" to spare was due to me putting my wood blocks on the motor mounts so they each stuck out a little bit beyond the motor mount bottom plates---my bad. The engine will clear nicely but just make sure the outside of your motor mounts are exactly even with your wood skids and carpet and it should slide right through that nav station/galley passage. I was worried more about the engine being able to make the turn to the companionway stairs, but that was easy clearance. It was easy also lifting it out. Once it came up a couple of feet we just turned it towards the stairs and out it went. What a relief that was...

Here's a photo for perhaps more clarity about the "skis"...and a view of the load leveler adjusted for lifting more form the front lifting point on the engine.
