Stern Tube Length on F38

Postby Ereiss » Wed May 30, 2018 9:15 am

I need to slide the Tides Marine shaft seal forward a smidge to see it that will stop the leaking. Does anyone have an approximation of how long the stern tube is? I assume (betting the boat on this) that moving it 1/4 - 3/8 will not create a risk.

Wish me luck.

On mine, it's just long enough for the two hose clamps on the Tides shaft seal.

I guess moving the shaft seal 1/16 or 1/8 movement forward could be my limit. Thank you both.
