Chop Top Sails for Round Mast F25

Post by bearb4tree »

Hi Gang,

I started working with Bill Hansen here in the SF Bay Area for a new sail. I liked the pictures of the Wing Mast F25 sail he worked on and asked him to create a Round Mast version.

The attached has the sail plan for both the round and wing mast. The design uses the Sailman batten system.

Cheers,

Matt

Keep us posted on your sailing experiences with this! When I bought our boat in 2007 I was very interested in getting a sail like this, but did not pursue it. My experience since has been that I need at least 4 crew to keep her flat in 15+, or else I have to reef. And this is with much less area up high.
