Jib & Spin Exit box - lazy jack/ topping lift brackets

Post by tnltracy »

Wondering if folks with some experience can comment on what I've found at the exit box on the mast for the Jib and Spinnaker halyards and jib stay. This is on a F32 Hoyt, but I believe the setup is similar to any of the cat sloop setups with self tending jibs.

Clearly one of the lazy jack brackets is bent, appears to be the starboard side, but when looking at the manual for the boat, it seems to suggest that that one is actually angled as intended, just needs to be rotated further aft. I'm attaching a few pictures, as well as the page from the owners manual showing the intended setup.

Also, the spin halyard looks like it may not be running over the shieve, although it does run quite easily, any thoughts on the angle it's exiting at over the box?
