Replacing/rebuilding the traveler on a hoyt 32

Post by Davidu »

Good morning all, I looking at replacing or rebuilding my Kenyon traveler. I have a hoyt 32 with the 1 1/4" track.

I am in the early stages but am running across some difficulty finding replacement parts. it looks like Rig rite is the company who owns all the new old stock from kenyon as they are out of business. and The preliminary pricing I am seeing makes replacing this with a new harken traveler seem almost reasonable.

Has anyone had any experience rebuilding or replacing their kenyon traveler?

any advise would be welcome.

Went through the same process for White Wings a 39 Express. Replaced with Garhauer units on both forward and rear, they have been trouble free for over ten years. I can not say enough good about the units they produce or the people you deal with in sales and engineering. They drilled the mounting holes in the new units to match the existing mounting holes on the boat and modified the forward unit so both of the control lines came back on one side just for the asking.

Good luck with your project. Pete
