We have a 40/40 with the self-tacking jib with a camberspar. Last season the car on the jib traveler broke and the bearings came out. We rigged it up to work without the traveler, but the sheeting angles aren't quite right. Does anyone know if just the car can be replaced or the whole jib traveler with the car needs to be replaced?
Thanks!

Re: 40/40 jib traveler car
Riki;
I had a similar problem with the main traveler on our F38. It was a Harken and I spoke with Rick in their customer service who steered me to a rebuild kit that saved me tons. A very knowledgeable responsive guy. Here is his contact info (assuming yours in Harken like mine).
Hardest part was getting the end pieces off. I finally was informed that they are through-bolted into the cabin roof and I needed to access through though the saloon ceiling. After that, life was simple(er).
Good luck

Re: 40/40 jib traveler car
Thanks so much! That's very helpful. It is a Harken, so we'll contact him. We'll see how it goes...
