There is an old and scuzzy neoprene (so I assume) boot on my mast which has hardened over the years and no long covers the base ring. It has slid up and now fits flush to the top of the ring inviting water into the boat. Has anyone had success in possibly heating (hair dryer?) the neoprene and getting enough stretch to get it to cover the ring? Here is a picture of the boot which it did cover the ring. As of now I've caulked and silicone taped it so it looks like King Tut's sister.
Thanks

Re: Neoprene Mast Boot
If you get a new boot, they come with adhesive so that you can cut them, them to them around the mast, and then glue them back together.
