F28M Unstepping Mast
F28M Unstepping Mast
I read online a while back the procedure for un-stepping a Freedom 37 mast. It would apply to my F28M (I think). Does anybody know of the site or it's online address? The problems (in my minds eye) with un-stepping a Freedom's mast are locating 'midpoint balance' and how to secure the lifting straps (with no spreaders) to prevent the lifting strap slippage upon lifting while one is dangling in mid air with a pitching boat. Can anybody help?. Thanks, Jim

Hi Moakj,
I got some great responses on my post about this a few years ago, it can be viewed at http://www.freedomyachts.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12236. I think my manual may have some images of the placement for the lifting straps on the mast when pulling it, I'll try to remember to check when we go down this weekend.
