No Freedom 40/40's for sale

Post by Craig »

I check out the listings in Yachtworld every so often to see how much less my Freedom 40/40 is worth than it was yesterday :) and there have not been many 40/40's on the market recently. I wonder do we all love them so much that we won't part with them, have we all run them aground and made insurance claims or have all their cores gotten so soggy that they are being sold as used Kleenex?
Just curious.

I'd suggest that the 40/40 owners realize what a gem they have and are out there happily using their boats with no intention of selling them. There are quite a few 40/40 owners in this forum and you don't hear problems from them (other than "normal" boat problems). I think that Mark Edwards from Cape Yachts has a 40/40 for sale.

I agree. I think people are hanging on to them. Three years ago when I found mine, there were several on the market. I find it interesting that the supply has dried up. On the other hand there seem to be more and more 36/38s available.
