We learned that anchoring in Tashmoo (a small accessible lake on Martha's Vineyard) is no longer available for anchoring in most of it. I was wondering if anyone had gone in there in 2017 and found areas enough to anchor? Was always one of our favorite places to sail to after Katamah was made unavailable to protect the shellfish 8-10 year ago.
Any recent experiences there would be appreciated.

Re: Tashmoo recently?
If anyone is able to answer Ed re Tashmoo, could you also comment on the depth and navigation challenges of the channel? Since we have the deep keel model, drawing over 6 ft, I have not been brave enough to attempt entering.
Thanks!

Re: Tashmoo recently?
Dale, we've gone in many times over the years, however we draw 4 feet. I know many 6 footers go in but tend to be conscious of the tide when doing so. Historically the best entrance is made from the east before turning into the channel as there has been (subject to changes and dredging) sand bar shallows forming on the west side of the entrance to the channel.
Surely one of our favorite places.

Re: Tashmoo recently?
Have you checked ActiveCaptain? I looked and there were several reviews from 2016.

Change was effective fall 2016. No reviews since then. I'll keep looking.
