F38 Cover

Postby Ereiss » Fri Apr 20, 2018 3:00 pm

Well the canvas shop called to tell me that it isn't worth fixing my Fairclough cover as the fabric is getting weak. I guess I'm getting weak too and have decided that I will go to (can't believe I'm saying this) shrink wrap next year.

That being said, if anyone would like the frame (designed for mast up) or even the cover, despite its 4-5 holes and broken zipper they would be yours for the taking. They are under the boat in New Bedford. Let me know if you are interested.

If you take them and think they have value I would only ask that you give a donation to the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center commensurate with the value that you think you are receiving. I'm on the Board of this wonderful organization. Just and ask, not a requirement. Check them out at www.barcc.org

Let me know if you want the frame and/or cover.

Hi Ed

I’d gladly take both off your hands as I have a F38 in Mattapoisett with a Fairclough system. Could always use extra material and parts. Happy to make a donation. Could pick it up weekend of April 28 if that works
for you.

Hello and thats funny about getting weak..I feel the same.

Against my better judgement I bought a F36 and next winter will need to properly cover -- this could work as a start to me.

I have a friend near where you who is coming down to NY where I am soon -- do you still have the frame ? how large is it broken down ?

Thanks, Michael
