Re: fuse panels

If I may suggest, add a separate fuse for the GPS/Radar and a separate one for the digital module of the sonar. When updating the Raytheon software, there is a step during which the current to the "screen" of the E-series has to be on, and the module has to be turned on and off. And we only have a c...

Re: Non Freedom Cat Ketch Opinion

About Walter Scott: http://sailboatdata.com/view_designer.asp?designer_id=111 Since he was associated with Irwin, I guess the hull is a very classic design, somewhat overbuilt hardware. I did some surveys on Irwin's units and I found problems at the bridge, at the mast level. I don't think this woul...

Re: Self tacking jib on the sloop rig.

Very interesting remarks. I looked at the Code Zero: http://www.ukhalsey.com/sails/CodeZero/ Des lors, un Freedom qui est vendu avec un Camberspar (Oops - I was skyping with my family in europe...ha ha ha ) OK, therefore, a Freedom sold with a Camberspar setup never has jib sheet tracks? The...

Re: Self tacking jib on the sloop rig.

It was a question! :?: I am not a Freedom owner (yet?) My question was if there is a real advantage to rig a self tending job with a camberspar or any other device, versus rigging a roller furler jib. The latter creates a better venturi effect between the two sails in my opinion. The larger jib also...

Re: Self tacking jib on the sloop rig.

So, on the F35, there are some owners who only have a self tending jib ( with all the inconveniences of cluttering a deck when need is to anchor...). there are other owners with a 110, 135 and even larger geny with side tracks. Does that mean that it is all a matter of infinitesimal angle when close...
