Re: Stack Pack and Tides marine track
Lance, I have a F36/38 on the Magothy. Put a Tides Marine track on several years ago. The only issue we had was we had to remove several rivets in bottom of the existing track. The Tides tack couldn't bend enough to make the turn onto the existing track. Not a big deal reriveted the track after the ...

Re: F30 main sheet twisting
Most blocks can be locked so that they don't swivel. That helps a lot.

Re: Coaming seat modification on F36/38
It is held in with two fast pins real easy to disconnect. Made a canvas bag to tore it in when not connected. BTW last winter I had the yard glass in the seam between the scoop and the transom and remove the inspection ports. I no longer looks like an add on and stopped all leaks into the scoop. Jim...

Re: Coaming seat modification on F36/38
I had a custom helm seat made for my F36/38 in 2008 by: Ocean Marine Systems 12520Horsesshoe Way Suite 108 Richmond, BC The pedestal guard has a chart plotter and instruments and is hard to see over. With the seat I don't have any problem seeing. My wife who is 5'4" throws another cushin on top and ...

Re: New Anchor for Hoyt F32
The Rocna 20 is 20kg close to 44lbs. It could be a little work by hand, but with a windlass it is no problem.

Re: New Anchor for Hoyt F32
I have Rocna 20 on my Freedom 38. The secondary is a Fortress. When we installed the windlass put on a 35# Delta after a year replaced it with the Rocna. Cruise mostly the Chesapeake and the Rocna with 25' of chain and 200' of rope sets the first time and has never dragged, Jim Demerest F36/38 Lady ...

Re: Pedrick F35 Autopilot
Check with Paul Dennis at Warren River Boatworks. He had a mount for the linerdrive my F36/38 years ago. Also, turned down a rudder stop that mounted over the existing rudder stop. That is the right distance from the rudder stock. Been on the boat for more than ten years. Works great. Jim Demerest F...

Re: HEATING MY FREEDOM33
I have had an Espar on my F38 since 1995. Vents in the main cabin and head. It keeps them comfortable down to the high 20s. The aft cabin and v-berth are cooler. A larger unit (I think mine is a ?D5?) would also heat the v-berth. The boat is in the Chesapeake and extends our cruising a month on eith...
