Re: F30 water tank

Our F 30's water tank is completely surrounded by expansion foam with no available storage.

Re: raising F30 Main sail

We also have a 1987 F 30. We have found that using Sail Glide lubricant on the plastic and metal sliders seems to work very will.
I hope this helps!

Through Deck Leaks

Our 1987 F 30 Solitude has enough deck leaks so that, when it rains, water collects in the bilge. The purpose of this post is to ask, besides the bilge, where else is water likely to collect? Even after the bilge is pumped dry, when under way as the boat is heeling the cabin sole is dry but, when co...

Re: New Freedom 30 owner in Puget Sound

Welcome aboard! We just launched our Freedom 30, Solitude, yesterday in Blue Hill Bay, Maine. Spent a windy and rainy night on the mooring, loving every minute of it.

LP gas pressure gauge?

I have a 1987 Freedom 30. The LP gas pressure gauge suddenly started reading zero when the propane tank was turned on. I believe the regulator is working fine because we are able to use the burners on the stove and the oven. This is what makes me think that the gauge has gone bad. I am planning to r...

Re: Quick Fix for a Dinghy Outboard

Branch Pond Marine has a satellite repair shop in Webber's Cove Boat Yard in Blue Hill. You could make an appointment and sail there to have them repair it or, at least, give you a diagnosis. This is right down the Reach and then up Western Blue Hill Bay. 'Sort of" on your way to NE Harbor and a bea...

Re: Stern pulpit problems, top opening no longer closes on F

We have the same problem on our '87 F 30. I believe that when the vessel is on jack stands for the winter that it flexes and causes problems similiar to yours. The stern pulpit bar can be closed but sometimes it take two people to pull the two uprights together in order to allow the cross bar to clo...

Re: Removing the head on a 1987 Freedom 30

I removed the head on my 1987 Freedom 30 last spring in order to rebuilt it. You're right, the rebuild was easier with the head removed. I have an opening right under front of the head and the nuts for the bolts were easily accessed. From what you are describing, it sounds as if the PO may have cut ...

Re: Freshwater pump leak

Thanks so much for your reply. Since my post I have learned that these pumps are, in fact, still available. I'm seriously considering ordering a new one but they aren't cheap. Solitude is currently on her permanent mooring in Blue Hill, Maine. I will be flying to Kansas City next week to score AP Ps...
