Re: FR 28/30 CK mast step
Hi Andy, I think most of the early freedoms had the same tabernacle arrangement . I used to own a 1981 Fairways F35 wrap around sails Hull 107 and it had exactly the same base as yours. Eventually I had to trim about 1/4 inch off the base of the main (front) mast and build it back up with epoxy as t...

Re: 1989 Freedom 33 cat sloop for sale
hi Crossjack, best of luck with the sale and the new boat. We are thinking of trading our F44 down to a smaller one and the F33 catches our eye!
Best regards

Re: Prospective New Owner
Hi pastasimon, if the masts are carbon fibre check mast base for movement in the tabernacle which can cause the base to grind and delaminate/crumble especially the foremast. Also check the deck tabernacles are not up against the mast wall as this will cause a hard spot and ultimate failure. Check ma...

Re: F21-Reefing
hi Rick,
when you put the reefing hook through the luff cringle, tape up the hook stem with insulation tape which increases its diameter and which prevents it falling out accidently when you raise or lower the sail.
cheers,
Gar

Re: freedom 44
Thanks George - we've been reading and enjoying the site for a while now. Our old Freedom 35 was sail number 107 so 7 seems to follow us!
