Re: Hull sandwich core - pumice??!

I had very odd stuff in the bow. Seemed almost like stone. Took out a couple of drill bits.

Re: F45 CC mast

If you have experience, with a standard masts, then it's not a whole lot different. Make sure the mast is free to move at the deck level and at the at the foot, wires all clear, lifting point near halfway height. Pull straight up.

Re: Yanmar 3gm30f and Kazaki tranny

These might be separate tissues. The engine stalling could possibly be air in the fuel supply system, especially since you did work on it. I am curious about you having added oil to the tranny at the end of your sail. Especially again since you just worked on it and it should have been topped off. I...

You can also buy a piece of round black Delrin - better UV re...

Re: F30 Holding Tank Set Up Question

If you don't want to empty your holding tank manually overboard, then you don't need the pump. If you can make your boat simpler, that's always a plus.

Re: 40/40 Rudder Bearing

Obviously it depends on how its all put together. If it was the quadrant holding the rudder up, it had to have a bearing surface to work against. Any part that now still turns with the shaft could be what's holding it up. Any chance you got pictures? Your hauled out at BMC, no? I may swing by if you...
