Re: Continuous line furling for CC 45
We have experience with Freedoms with camber spar jib and non camber spar jib. Our 1990 45cc is set up with non camber spar self tacking headsail on Seldon furler and our 1990 Freedom 32 (Mull) is set up with original camber spar jib. Freedom 45 with self tacking non camber spar jib: - We shorten (f...

New Mainsail Freedom 45cc and Hard Top
We recently replaced our Quantum laminate main with a new Quantum Fusion M6 mainsail. The new main has made a significant improvement in our 45cc’s sailing performance, 1. Regularly maintain sailing at AWA of 30 degrees maintaining speed. 2. Less mast movement in the Chesapeake chop-the sails low st...

Hoyt Jib Boom vs. Camber Spar
Greetings! Our Freedom 45cc came to us with a roller furler jib, convenient but lousy sail shape off wind. Weighing the options! Are there any Freedom owners that have experience with a Hoyt Jib Boom set up in lieu of the original camber spar? We also have a F32Mull with camber spar and do enjoy the...

Re: Camberspar bent, now what?
For future consideration, our F45cc is fitted with a Seldn roller furled, self tacking track and a North battened jib. We can maintain good speed at 30 deg apparent in 12+Kts. Off the wind we use barber hauler to rail to reduce the clews hook inward-seems to make a difference. We cannot get the same...

Re: Main, Jib for Freedom 30/32 for sale
Greetings Pete, just came across your F30/32 sail listing. Are the sails available? Assume this is the Mull 30/32 design?
Are the sails yours? Original owner? Pictures would be great. Radial or cross cut design? Material/sail cloth?
Thanks, Tom

Re: F-30 Rudder Shaft Packing
Thanks for the guidance. By chance do you recall the maker/source of the rudder shaft bearings?

Re: F-30 Rudder Shaft Packing
While on the subject of rudder post lubrication, does anyone know the typical/allowable free play in the rudder post? I am seeing about +/- 3/16" play when testing for play on the hard. Thanks, Tom K (1990 F32 "Ula" & 1990 F45CC Die Walkure) Deltaville, VA
