Re: CORROBOREE (custom 35 free-standing sloop) will be For Sale soon!

Corroboree is still for sale. The price has gone back up to $64,900 to reflect some of the maintenance and upgrades we are doing. We also have a new video about her on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Plo_YiOujw.

Still open to inquiries.

Re: CORROBOREE (custom 35 free-standing sloop) will be For Sale soon!

ATTENTION--NEW REDUCED PRICE FOR CORROBOREE : $59,000 Corroboree is now located at Brunswick Landing Marina in Brunswick, GA. This is a great liveaboard marina with a lot of adventurous sailors here. Corroboree has traveled just over 32,000 miles on her circumnavigation, and now we are through with...

CORROBOREE (custom 35 free-standing sloop) will be For Sale soon!

We are approaching the end of our circumnavigation with Corroboree. We hope to “tie-the-knot” on our round-the-world route in Grenada come mid- to early June 2023, just three months away. Corroboree is my very first professionally commissioned design (1984-85) and is very similar to and of the same ...

Re: Repairing a broken mast on an F30

I was quite happy to give Paul the support he needed. Just to clarify, the Strong Track and the Tides Marine track are one and the same. Tides Marine is owned by my good friend Jeff Strong, for whom I have done a lot of consulting engineering in the past. We have a Tides Marine track on Corroboree's...

Re: Compressive strength of TPI masts

Hi Ordosays, Although I designed the F39 masts, WAY back when, I could not tell you what the strength properties are. You'd also need the diameters and wall thicknesses to determine all the structural stresses, and I don't have any record of that. I want to say about 60,000 psi for the compression s...

Re: Gun Mount Spinnakers

I know this is an old thread, but maybe it's the best area to post. I have a Hoyt Gun Mount spinnaker pole on Corroboree that I would like to sell. Corroboree is my very first commissioned design that I now own, a custom one-off. My wife and I are currently in Puerto Rico (Punta Del Rey) about the h...

Re: Mast wiring conduit

Hi Midnight Sailor, I just happen to be browsing the forum and found your recent postings. First, on the rivets. Monel is a good material in many carbon situations, but it is not really the best choice when attaching an aluminum track to a carbon fiber mast. The reason is because Monel is electrolyt...

Re: Flat Head Main

Done correctly, the new sail should make the boat sail better--sail faster and point higher--than the original sail. This is because such a sail will have more forward force and less drag due to its improved shape. Therefore, there is less side force causing heel. This is mitigated by the fact that ...

Re: Spare carbon main mast for F35 around?

If you can spring for a new mast, you can try Hall Spars in Holland. They might have suitable tooling for a new mast. http://www.hallspars.com/locations-holland.php Or, I have worked with Composite Engineering in Concord, Massachusetts, who build replacement carbon fiber masts for the Nonsuch 36, an...

Re: FREEDOM YACHT MAST REPAIR

RDS, the cracks in way of the sail track joints are probably more of the same as other cracking and are not specific to the track joints. Once you remove the tracks and repair the surfaces of the masts as described in the repair document, you'll cure the problem entirely. You can put the tracks back...
