Thanks for the pix. How did you attach those blocks to the luff and leach cringles? The “less friction” aspect sounds appealing.

I thought it to be nearly impossible, so opted for the RayMarine wireless wind instrument. After one season, I’m happy with it.

Sorry Mike, I don’t act understand how the locking pin replaces the bolt and nut. My bolt passes through a washer then one grommet on the sail, then the metal forestay retaining piece with the camberspar block inside it, then the other sail grommet, the last washer and nylock nut. Is yours different...

Thanks Mark. With no better prop protection alternatives simple and inexpensive enough for me to try, I’ll probably give Pettit another chance. Reluctantly.

For what it’s worth. The chord for the camberspar on my Hoyt F32, crudely measured, appears to be 14 inches, when the baseline is the axle of the sheave to the center of the tubing at the aft end of the spar. Mark, your prop looks so beautifully clean. Wish mine were likewise. I’ve had disappointing experience with Pettit’s sink prop paint. What do you use, and how?
