Re: Fuel tank “gunk”
Thought I had posted an account of our travails related to this issue. Didn't find it. You've already posted the tl;dr version, here's the long view. We were dead in the water directly under The City-side span. Yerba Buena on our right, San Francisco to starboard. As mentioned, alerted Coast Guard o...

Re: Fuel tank “gunk”
Had additional issue with the 'little screen' on the pickup tube. The problem of removing that screen is the expectation is that the Racor will filter all that gunk. For us, the gunk never got there. Bowl was clear, filter fine but our next embarrassing moment on the San Francisco Bay was being fuel...

Re: Icebox upgrade
What we should have done long ago was convert the DC only to an AC/DC model. We would use the refrig when under power and ice blocks when in dock. Bought a cooler that allowed AC/DC power, then realized...D'oh!...we have that capability. with a little tweak of electrical current Our 110v on 30amp in...

Re: Icebox upgrade
We have a DC powered compressor which I think is behind the closet in aft cabin. Can take pictures tomorrow. Where you have two vertical cabinets for storage over the stove, we have a microwave built-in and a horizontal sliding doors for kitchen gear.

Re: Square top main halyard solution
Thanks for the reply. I thought to have a deep socket in the dimensions of the 'star' as an adapter. Your method is less janky. However, yours will be my method of last resort, as it obviously changes the tool permanently.
Much appreciated.

Re: Square top main halyard solution
Regarding the Ryobi right angle drill... I have loads of Ryobi batteries and tools. The only right-angle Ryobi drill I've seen' is too small a chuck for the 1/2" end of the 'star' that fits our winches. What's your set up and does that Ryobi drill have enough torque to get the sail an appreciable d...

Re: 67 nm Delta Ditch Run
Tom, Congrats! Eight hours...that thar's some work. Can imagine some epic speed runs considering the conditions. We've been monitoring the wind, as it has been a long while since taking SweeTART out under sail. Division: Cruise+2 (10 boats) Pos,Sail, Boat, Skipper, Yacht Club, Results, Total Points ...
