Interesting. Mine dumps on the port side with the same fitting about mid way and about 6" up from the cockpit floor. The hose is routed under the port, then out before the rear bulkhead to the cockpit.

I am guessing the bulkhead is not load bearing due to no heavy attach points. Many boats of this size do not have this bulkhead and without balsa core with no issues.
