1DCF1E63-9B76-46F9-BE80-2D4BD3577BAD.jpeg My previous post described my loss of water pressure at all faucets. After waxing the hull yesterday I followed up on that issue - disconnected the outflow hose from the water pump, attached a longer hose and led it to a bucket. Flipped the breaker and just...

Re: Eyebrow trim in the Bay Area?

I had a Sabre 34 once and had eyebrows on the coach roof - Sabre had exact drawings of the eyebrow profile. I replaced mine and one other boat's pieces. You need a dimensional profile of the eyebrow, take it to a wood shop company and have them tool it.... suggestion... The eyebrow theory being that...

Re: Refinishing Sole - original finish not varnished

On 2 previous boats with teak interiors I applied tung oil once a year- wipe on wipe off with a clean cloth. A couple of coats. Easy and looks great. Your stain areas probably from water damage(?) - try rubbing some tung oil on to see if that does it by itself - seems to me if I can remember, that w...

Re: Just Joining

Welcome! Our P35 was built 9/1999 - near the end of the run I believe. Harken 44 2 speed electric winch (wouldn’t have bought it without that!)- Mack sails Mack pack with lazy jacks - never a concern raising the main with the power winch - ease the main sheet and timing. Love the boat. EF04D0C9-AD24...

Re: 2 reefing points

Bad - “check the pump valves”... do you mean the outflow hose end - as in remove the outflow hose and then check the water flow with switch on? Thanks. Right my pump stays on extraordinarily long. At any faucet initially water flow is great. Then the pump kicks in and within a minute flow dwindles s...

Re: 2 reefing points

Thanks all - I earlier made sure the vented loop for the fresh water was replaced (it was badly kinked) and made sure the vent exited to the bilge - previously it wasn’t . My problem is that although the water tank acts like it’s full with overflow to the bilge the water system can act like the tank...

2 reefing points

Yesterday I finally got around to eliminating the first reef, having 2 nd and 3 rd reef run internal to the boom, and have second reef exit boom stbd side And third reef line exit boom port side. Tested in typical sf bay up to 22 kts on 3 hrs run. All good. Still dealing with my fresh water - seems ...

Re: Ran the boat out of fuel...WHAT!!??

On the fuel pump lever- when depressing that lever pump to get fuel into the system, you should feel a squishy slight resistance (spongy) feel at the bottom of the pump stroke. If no spongy resistance, open the decompression levers on the top of the motor, and yank the fan belt to turn the motor to ...
