Electric head replacement

I’m replacing the electric sea era raritan head on our f35 p - toilet is bolted down to raised lip in Head with no access panel cut. 4 bolts. My idea I’d to loosen the 4 bolts, lift up the toilet base enough to slide in a couple of tiny strong magnets to secure the bolts from dropping down into the ...

Re: Antal two-way traveler winch install

Salacia - I believe my 1999 F35 P also needs traveler ball bearing replacement :D Did you use Torlon bAlls? What size and how many did you need to buy (packs)? All set to try too... Do your end pieces look like these?

Thanks

Re: vang attachment to boom on 40/40

Might want to look at something like these to drill and tap in one fell swoop, once the old rivets are gone

Re: Propane tank

I have a f 35 p - 2 vertical smallish tanks 1.4 gal each. I tried to refill mine recently - one tank was dated good with a few months left, the other was out dated and needed a new OPD valve. Brought it to a propane dealer and they could not get the new OPD valve with the float shutoff to fit - tank...

Re: Refinish sole

The sole on this f35 p is 3/4” marine ply with cherry and holly veneer- 5 boards were lift out and 4 were screw down. Very easy to remove. Still need to do the aft cabin and forward cabin. Not a bad project really. On a previous boat (Sabre) the sole was mostly glued to the substrate except the bilg...

Re: Refinish sole

On refinishing - removing varnish.... I use a heat gun and putty knife because I don’t like the mess of the chemical strippers :D my 4” putty knife has a beveled edge which I sharpened a bit ( not dangerous sharp, but sharp enough so I feel the edge). I lay the putty knife about a 1/4” from the edge...

Refinish sole

Thought I’d re-visit this topic as I did chime in earlier. Refinished galley and main salon sole Sole was badly beaten up after 20 hrs of use, lots of dings, scratches, and water stains. Heat gun in low with 4” scrapper of which 2” were typically used. I could get usually about a 4”-6” slice of varn...

Re: Anchor system for F-30 help me spend my money right - or

After getting an email from my marina stating we could come to inspect our boats, I did drive to Good Way today- and installed the Solidremote 202U windlass relay. If I were very tiny it would have taken 15 minutes but as I’m not it took 3 hrs. Once I dropped the v berth upper panel I noticed the wi...
