Re: toilet removed in a freedom 35 Pedrick

Greywine - as in my post on this topic, my f35 P has wood screws instead of carriage bolts with the nuts under. Geoff is correct - take measurements of your head base - mine (1999) has a 5” shelf on which the head sits. Choose an access hatch that’ll fit (can you get your hand in there once fitted w...

Hatch repair

I sent my Lewmar Coastline 10 hatch in for refurbishment- it was totally glazed and I could not see through it. A new similar hatch would run over $400 and this on with a new lens and gaskets was $240 through Hatch Masters out of Connecticut. Very happy with results and the price.

Re: Cheap Chinese Diesel Heater

O bloody downer - possibly  Ok it’s been a while since I’ve been inside the aft lazarette - the f 35 p has one aft lazarette with 2 hatch access lids. Smaller than I remembered from AP and radar days. Port side of quadrant forward bulkhead is way overcrowded. Stbd side is better. Both quite...

Re: Cheap Chinese Diesel Heater

One more time :D Due to the limitations of exhaust length to no more than 2 meters, I’d have to mount the heater and fuel tank in the transom lazarette. That would give me opportunity to clean that whole area out (I have enough spar line in there to rig a barque). I’d have a short exhaust run but a ...

Re: Cheap Chinese Diesel Heater

Mike - I believe your boat layout is better than mine for the heater I’ll check more tomorrow. Where does your heater outlet placed in the cabin and does your heater exhaust exit the stern at deck level? Thanks Ok, I think it would fit - heating unit and 10L tank - in my aft cabin next to the compan...
