Re: 1984 F32 pulpit

Bumping my post to see if anyone has or knows of a derelict Hoyt F-32 that may have the bow pulpit available. Mine had damage when I purchased her and I'd rather get one that does not have repairs before having mine repaired.

Re: F32: Looking for a picture of the “L” bracket on mast base

Mine no longer has the L bracket, a new base was added which has a bolt through the mast and base. Any chance that was done to yours?

Re: Antal two-way traveler winch install

Great idea, very nice. I'm certain that you will miss the burns though. I may need to consider this mod, I like it.

TMack, those have a great look to them and I'm sure add to the attraction of the boat. Nice job.

Re: Fuel fill idea

The siphon will cease at the point of the larger diameter of the filler neck, once air gets to the stream the negative pressure causing the draw will cease. I like where you are going with this idea though.

Re: Cutlass Bearing

Personally, I would not gamble by waiting until next haul out if you are already seeing the rubber working it's way out of the bearing housing. The bearing assembly itself is a single piece consisting of the outer housing, often bronze, and the bearing itself which is a special hard rubber; they sho...

That is the deck drain, same on the 3 "84 Hoyt 32's that I have seen.

Re: Port windows F32

Regarding you last paragraph, the lack of expansion room is what I believe to be the root cause of the plexi on mine to crack. I won't know for certain until disassembly, but most radiate from screw holes. So yes, I agree that is absolutely necessary. What thickness plexi are you using? Did you deci...

Re: Port windows F32

Tom, I had wondered the same thing about my '84 32 as it has the same mounting as yours, no framing at all and only screws holding the windows. I too have replacing windows on my to do list and mine were supposedly replaced not too long prior to my purchase except almost all of them leak to due stre...
