Thanks in advance

Re: very low water bilge pump
Hi All
I have a small shop-vac aboard for general clean up and it works very well to get that small amount of water out of the bilge. Simpel and quick.

Re: Fuel tank “gunk”
Fuel Issue Mariah a 1983 33’ Cat Ketch While traveling from Stony Point on the Hudson River headed for Peconic Bay NY. Just east of Mattituck LI in 3-4 foot seas the engine went to idle, then back to cruise rpm’s in 30 seconds. This happened many more times. I checked the fuel gauge and it was on E!...

Re: Anchor windless and anchor size
I just updated my anchoring system on my 33 Cat-Ketch. I placed a Lumar 1000 just forward of the main mast. I am using my tried and true Fortress FX23 with 25' of chain backed by 250' of 1/2" triple braid. I know the FX23 may be a little overkill but in my case its make me sleep better. Most of the ...

Re: F33 CB attachment point faioure
Sorry it's taken so long to get back concerning my centerboard issue. I lifted the boat as high as possible to access the top of the CB. I used a 1 1/4" hole saw to drill thru the CB 1 1/2" below the top in the location of the original lifting point, but no through the fiberglass on the other side. ...

Re: F40 AC CK Lifting Keel Line/Cable
I have a 33 Cat/Ketch and needed to replace the SS lifting conection at the centerboard. I used dynema to replace the lifting and safety lines 2 years ago. Everytnig workes fine and the dynema is 3x the strength of the oroignia setup. It is also very easy to terminate.

F33 CB attachment point faioure
Last week while winching my CB up the attachment point on the board failed. The lift line and safety line were both attached to the same point you can guess what happened. The board came crashing down with a loud thud. Thankfully after hauling the boat there seems to be no damage. It was a bxxxx mak...

Re: 33 Cat Ketch traveler
Thanks all I did find two double block for the center and two single blocks with holes in the center to use the original mountings for the outboard ends. Works well in anything but heavy conditions where I need to come up a bit to take some of the load off. I like using the traveler when sailing wit...
