Re: Anyone use online outboard shop?
NOTE On your question about PayPal...I worked as an FTE Agile Transformation Lead Coach for years, still consult there. Yup, if you pay money to a vendor you can dispute things, trap the money in the system if there is an issue. Turning in a dispute is simple, read the rules and make sure they will ...

Re: Virtual Raft Up - Nov 5 @ 7 PM Eastern
Great idea! I am on the West Coast (Bay Area) and will be leading a Webinar then (Accelerator). Wish I could be there. As someone who uses Zoom for my practice: Yes, it automatically disconnects at 45 mins if you dont have a paid account. Usually if you dont have a paid account you will be using you...

Refinishing Sole - original finish not varnished
I have replaced a few boards in my cabin sole and now ready to refinish and restore the sole on my Freedom 32 Hoyt. I am not sure what the original finish was, probably an oil of some sorts, isn't varnished. In my boat nothing is varnished down below, just left natural with some type of oil. We have...

Jibe Preventer for Freedom 32
Has anyone rigged a preventer for accidental jibes for a Freedom 32? I often sail with family or get lulled to sleep with the motion of following seas. :( Although winds in Florida tend not to shift quickly or often, now and again the sail gets back winded. I have see a number of products out there ...

Re: Main Sheet Car and Sheaves replacement F-32
Finally, end of saga. Rig-Rite had the original Kenyon traveler sheaves from my main sheet car. The only people I could find that had it after an exhaustive search. Doing business with them is tough. Their web site is antiquated, they want to blame the customer for everything and prevent wasting the...

Re: Cruising in Summer 2020 ?
Yes...4-5 knots in stream on way from Miami to Bimini. We do the Z pattern...down to Biscayne Bay, South to Fowey Rock, then steer straight and the current takes you north. A bit odd the first time, but head into the stream dead on the the GPS stops dead in its tracks...have had to anchor out due to...

Thanks, everyone.
The pole on the Freedom 32 is 4", so someone's suggestion to get davis adjustable rubber one worked! $11 Amazon.
All set...see how this goes next month when I return home.
cheers,

Re: Cruising in Summer 2020 ?
REPLY My wife teaches, so summers are free but YIKES! Hot, and we dont have air conditioning. Summer is off season so not crowded, great fishing. Same with Bimini...but now that they have casino (read: ruined) not sure how it is. They are welcoming but it is closed for now and foreseeable future. Ba...

Re: Main Sheet Car and Sheaves replacement F-32
Thanks for the referral...and Wow...just wow. Reached out to Kenyon (Rigrite) and they are even harder to do business with than Dave Berig! No answer, robo-phone that ends without any ability to leave message. Circular web site, no prices, dont answer phone and email doesnt work. They said something...
