Whale Bilge Pump
The gaiter on my bilge pump is turn up. The 28 M is new to me this year, and I have no reason to believe the pump was ever rebuilt. After looking at the price for the separate gaiter and diaphragm kits I thought it might be wise to just buy a new Gusher Urchin. Does anyone know if a new one, which c...

Re: Mainsail battens
My M 28 came with two sets of battens and two sails. I don't want to shot myself in the foot, by selling a set, but if you are in the New England area, and have a hard time sourcing them, we can talk about it.

I always learn a lot about my Freedom on this forum , and love the creative ideas. I just ordered a set of two Spreader Life Line Rollers from Amazon.

Re: Seeking Opinions-First Time Rigging my m28'
Thanks for the replies. I will change it back to what I thought looked wonky because we seem to have a consensus. I love this forums members. Myself and a friend sailed her home today, a nine hour journey, Wells Main to Little Bay Newington NH. I will make a post about her Maiden Voyage in the next ...

Seeking Opinions-First Time Rigging my m28'
Today I attached the boom and associated rigging. This is my first time doing this as it is a new boat to me and the mast was recently stepped. I tried what the diagram in the manual suggested for the main sheet but it would seem that would require a double block, because two individual blocks side ...

Re: Stepped My Mast Today
yes my neighbors boat was from Hawaii. I was hoping to ask him if he sailed it to Maine. From looking at it, I doubt very much that is the case. I do not plan on stepping the mast again anytime soon, if ever. I bought her thing way because the previous owner just assumed the buyer would be trailerin...

Stepped My Mast Today
It was a bit of a shit show, but only because this is the first time I had a mast stepped and the boatyard told me I didn't even need to be there. Obviously nothing could keep me away, but thank god I had this forum and had been studying for the last six months because I had to direct every step, no...

Re: F30 Bottom Paint Estimate
I am guessing this is somewhat dependent on the paint, surface and the kind of rollers used. I recently painted my 28' and it took one gallon of Iterlux ACT, with a little leftover to do my 8' dinghy as well.
