Re: F30 Bottom Paint Estimate

I am guessing this is somewhat dependent on the paint, surface and the kind of rollers used. I recently painted my 28' and it took one gallon of Iterlux ACT, with a little leftover to do my 8' dinghy as well.

Re: Primary filter upgrade

I am also the new owner of a Mull 28 and will be heading out shortly to paint her hull and start working up the commissioning punch list. I was not aware of this upgrade and will check to see if it has been done yet. I am Glad Mark is here to seek advice and Seawolf for providing an answer . The pho...

Re: I Need Battery Suggestions

Many thanks to you. I was just on my way out the door to my local Marine supply and thought I would check this post before I left. I too will be moored all season and want to buy some solar panels, so I will just purchase based on you recommendations.

Re: LED Bulb replacement F-32

I really like these red/white switching LED bulbs from Marinebeam. When you switch the light on they're red, then if you turn it off and immediately back on it's a nice warm white. This item is perfect. My sailing mentor recently told me to get a red light for the cabin, which made complete sense t...

I Need Battery Suggestions

At the moment the boom is sitting over cushions at the navigation station , and from what I can tell just the fuel tanks lay beneath. I do not have the manual , or the ol...

Re: Mast Gasket

Thanks guys. I really appreciate this forum, because I would have never guessed the answer, nor would I want to. I am glad to have something I can cross of my "to do" list that does not require further research or cash.

Mast Gasket

The mast on my recently purchased 1987 28 will be stepped in April. From what I can tell there was some sort of gasket material between the mast and the boss in the hull that it sits on. The previous owner had the mast removed. The black fragments left behind just turned to dust when I attempted to ...

Re: B&G Vulcan 12 R

Just chiming in because I also have a M28 that came with a Raymarine system. The sailboat is new to me and it is currently on the hard. I shoveled snow off it today. Anyway the previous owner said it worked great, and though a little outdated now, he didn't think I would need anything else.
