Thanks! Yes, the cameraman launched it from the boat later that day when we were at anchor, but retrieving it was a bit tricky, even when laying motionless at anchor ...
And yes, seeing your own ship sailing, from all angles, is purely magical.

Re: F36/38 icebox size
Don't have dimensions, but holy crap that thing is big on our 38! We just finished a week of sailing with two Belgian friends. Belgians do like good food ... so they brought a van full of fresh veggies, drinks, whatever. We stowed it all away without a problem, the fridge was pretty full but not unw...

Re: Freedom Videos
Friend of mine made some nice drone footage of our Freedom 38, sailing at the Oosterschelde in The Netherlands this summer. Incredibly nice to see your own ship sail!

Re: LED Bulb replacement F-32
No answers yet, but I do have the same question ... recently bought an F38 and really want to switch to LEDs. preferably a warm color for the spots and maybe a bit brighter for the overhead double ceiling lights. Any suggestions?

Re: Can you dry up on a F38 wingkeel?
I’m certainly going to look for something like that … perfect solution. There’s a nice solid fixation point to the ship as well, I see … food for engineering thought for me. I was thinking something simpler first, but this is way better. Thanks for the inspiration! Nevertheless I’m still interested ...

Yes, I was thinking about beaching legs as well. Problem is you have to store them when not in use (almost all of the time) so I'd like to have them as storage-smart as possible. I see you have a nice telescopic solution, looks great! You had them custom made?

Can you dry up on a F38 wingkeel?
I've searched the forum everywhere, but can't find it, I hope I'm not asking a dumb question. We're new to the Freedoms, and have always been sailing classic flat-bottomed yachts in a delta area, where we loved to dry up on a nice sandbank on low tide sometimes. Would a wingkeel-Freedom 38 be able t...

Re: New Freedom 38 owners in The Netherlands
Nice! Actually, the Royal Belgian Yacht Club is situated at the Veerse Meer too … it’s not Belgium, but the nicest lake close to it. Apparently Belgians are very practical. And we’re definitely planning a trip to Antwerp with our new ship. Great little sightseeing tour through the large container te...
