Tom, Thanks, that is very helpful and I really appreciate the help. I was trying to determine if I needed shuttle blocks or if I could just run the lines directly through the boom. Thanks for posting this. I have a recently purchased Freedom 33 with a "Tall Rig" and when out in 20-25 kts also had significant weather helm, but the reefs are not rigged so its next on the to-do list. Not sure if you have another picture that might provide a description of how the reef lines were ...

A follow up on my masthead issue from a few weeks ago: the yard was able to fabricate a plate system that bolted to the original aluminum masthead block. Maybe not a perfect solution since there are so many separate connections now, but workable while I work on a location and time to pull the mast.

Thanks for the welcome, and I am very happy to have found this forum and already appreciate the responses. I have no idea why there is that brass wheel/disc and pin in the aluminum block. I was hoping someone here might have some ideas on why that would be there. The halyard was rigged all external....
