Re: Freedom Logo

Does any one have the dimensions of the Freedom logo/insignia that would go on the sail of a Freedom 44 or other Freedoms close to that size? I've got the logo and the material, just need to know some dimensions.

Re: And it begins

Your explanations are very helpful, but I do have a few questions:
1. What do you mean by the insulation is held in place by tension?
2. What are the 'tabs' that you describe as 2 x 2? Having a hard time visualizing these.
Thanks and thanks for documenting this work.

Freedom 44 Emergency Tiller and Anchor Chain Locker Drainage

Looking for some information on two topics; Emergency Tiller, and Anchor Chain Locker: Emergency Tiller 1. Where and how do you stow your emergency tiller? 2. What does your emergency tiller look like? Mine is roughly 5 ft long with a welded on perpendicular tube at one end about 2.5 ft long Anchor ...

Re: Boom Bale source??

Mike, Rig-Rite, Inc in Rhode Island has many components for older Freedoms. I believe that I purchased an identical boom bale to the one that broke on my Kenyon boom on my former F-32 (Hoyt). Freedom 32 Parts Sale

Unfortunately Tropical Storm Philippe had its way with my Freedom 32 Sunday night (and 9 other sailboats in Padanaram (South Dartmouth) Mass) and it's on its way to disposal. I'll be making a list of things I took off of her in the last 30 hours before she was taken away today and will make that ava...

Re: Odd mainsail shape - advice?

Been thinking about your sail some more and my answer of the batten being too long (or maybe with too much compression as suggested by another reader). If the batten is too long it is 'looking' for a way to get more length out of the sail to accommodate its longer length. If it goes from one side of...

Re: Odd mainsail shape - advice?

I suspect that batten might be a little too long.

Re: Looking for F32 (Hoyt) Camber Spar

No replies so I'll try again.

Looking for a F32 (Hoyt) Camber Spar if anyone has upgraded to a different system and has one to sell.

OR - Can anyone get me dimensions so I can have one made?

Thanks,

Bob

Looking for F32 (Hoyt) Camber Spar

Looking for a Freedom 32 (Gary Hoyt design) camber spar for jib. Please let me know if you have one that you would be willing to sell. Short of finding a replacement I would need some drawings and/or pictures to scale that I could use to build a new spar.

Hi Craig,
Laura, I and our daughter Sarah are planning to be in Narragansett Bay starting on Saturday and would be glad to stop at Dutch Harbor for either or both of Saturday and Sunday.
