Re: Question: Kanzaki Transmission Removal (F36 Yanmar 36mf30)

Found this suggestion online. " knock out a few spokes of the vent. Then you can get a number 12 socket in and unbolt the drive plate from the bell housing. I think there's six bolts. You'll need to turn the engine to line up each bolt with the hole you've made in the bell housing. Then the trannie ...

Re: Question: Kanzaki Transmission Removal (F36 Yanmar 36mf30)

I am facing the same issue with my transmission and engine, Michael. There are no additional bolts of fasteners to remove. What you are faced with is the transmission input shaft that is stuck (rusted) to the drive disk. I have not spent a lot of time trying the free the shaft. I have sprayed penetr...

Re: Start button - I swear I'll fix it this time

Are all your ground connections clean as well. I had the same start button problem and simply resolved the problem by wire brushing all the ground connections.
See YouTube video on how to install the solenoid.

Re: Freedom 21 Mast Creaking and movement

On my F33 CK, he mast collars preventing my masts from rotating are made of two pieces, bolted together in the middle. Two of the four nuts are eye nuts to which the turnbuckles are attached.

Re: Freedom 21 Mast Creaking and movement

Both the main and mizzenmast on my Freedom 33 CK have a mast collar with turnbuckles tensioned to port and stbrd, to prevent the mast from rotating. On the main mast the collar is right below the deck, on the mizzenmast at the base. Zero movement in either mast.

Re: 28 CK with extra ballast?

Completely removing the floorboards on my Freedom 28 CK (keel version) was a big undertaking, because the floorboards extend way underneath the Port and STB settees. For me, this meant totally disassembling the entire cabin, from the head back. If I were to do this job over again, and the settees wer...

Re: 1981 FREEDOM 33 CAT KETCH MAIN MAST

Hello Brad, I was mistaken, the mast in Boston is for a Freedom 30 sloop. I saw the mast in May and it looked fine. Not 100% sure if it is still available. You should be able to adapt it for the F33 main mast. Only reason I have not purchased it is because it is so hard to transport a mast of this l...
