New Jib
I hate to brag but in this case I think it’s justified........ I am now the proud owner of a brand new jib for my Hoyt 32. The best part is that is was made by the legend Dave Bierig himself. 35 years after the original. As an added bonus I got to hang out with him in his loft while he regaled me wi...

Mast for F25
Anyone in need of a mast for a Freedom 25 drop me a pm. It’s a white wing mast. I came across it at a small breakers today. Can’t vouch for the condition as I didn’t get to inspect it. (I was in a hurry) If someone is interested I’ll go back and check it out. It’s located in Niagara region in Ontari...

Re: Freedom 32: Camber Spar Setup & Issues
Forestay should be attached to the deck fitting and have no tension. It’s just for hanking on the jib. The camberspar should have a metal bracket that holds it in place on the stay. A bolt goes through the sail grommet, the bracket and then the hole in the wheel and continues out the other side. If ...

Re: Propeller options on a Freedom 32 (Hoyt)
When getting ready to lift in spring and fall i put florescent zip ties in the toe rails marking the lift points. So far so good.

Re: Propeller options on a Freedom 32 (Hoyt)
I looked into a flexifold prop last year. This is what they recommended for my F32. With a Yanmar 3GM ( max. rated 22 hp / 3600 rpm, gear reduction ratio 1:2,61 ) we would recommend a 2-blade 16x12R propeller for your Freedom 32 Sail. The price for a complete 2-blade 16x12R Flexofold with hub for IS...

Re: F32 Saloon Table??
Also, while I had it apart I also used a buffer wheel to remove the old scuffed finish from the mounting plates and resprayed them.

Re: F32 Saloon Table??
I finally had to get medieval on mine. I removed the top from it’s mount then unscrewed the base from the floor. I tried WD40 a few times over a few weeks. No luck. Hung the whole thing from a sling and gave it a few whacks with a large mallet. It submitted on about the fifth whack. Once apart I san...

Re: F32 reefing
Yes John, that’s exactly how it was done. There is a lot of strain at the luff cringle . That’s why I sought help here, it seemed to me that something was amiss in my setup. I makes way more sense with the hook and block.
